Now that the battalions seem to be starting the ACFT, at least for practice, what is a good score? I know the minimums but what’s considered most competitive?

Look at HVY, Sig, and Mod. Theres minimum scores for each grouping.

Thank you. I was just trying to get a feel for what expectations are. Are the minimums the average scores or will most cadets score over/under? What would one need to score to be in top 20% for instance? Maybe it’s too new to know that information at this point.

Will they be using this new test in the fall? I read that it has to be implemented by 10/2020 but could they take the old test in September? It will be hard for the new recruits to get ready for the ACFT when school starts. We don’t have the proper equipment to practice at home. Sit-ups, pushups and running can be done by anyone without any extra pieces of equipment.

My understanding is it is starting with the fall semester, at least at my DS’s school. They have started taking practice tests to prepare. I don’t know if it is harder or easier to pass, based on the minimums.

Cadet command is working the contracting test- APFT or ACFT. My understanding the MS3 accessions fall test will be ACFT. And Advanced Camp 2021 record test is ACFT. A good score- 600 for officers.

600 means maxing out all categories, right? That’s the highest score?
