ACT Confusion

I emailed my admissions officer about some ACT questions but I am not sure they understood what I was trying to ask so I figured maybe some of you guys would have the answers. First off I know they superscore the ACT and take your highest scores but do they take the scores individually and make the highest composite score or do they just treat the composite score as a seperate score and take your highest composite? My admissions officer said they look at the ACT math and verbal section. Is the verbal section a combination of science, reading, and writing? If that is true, then is the math score 50%, and the other three scores the other 50%. Also how much more important is the math score? I know you guys probably won't have exact answers but any information or thoughts could help. Thanks

I'm not 100%, but I believe they take your highest from each section then make a composite score off of those. I'm not sure how to answer the rest of your questions though. I hope I understood this correctly.

They take the highest shores individually to make the highest composite score. So if the first time you took the test you scored 50 in English and 20 in Math and the second time you took the test you scored 20 in English and 50 in Math your superscore would be 100 and this is what they would use.
