Hey guys,
So I have taken the SAT once and the ACT 3 times. I got a 26 all 3 times (I know just my luck) even after taking a prep course and trying different methods for studying and taking practice exams. My super score is a 28, and here are the individual scores for anyone wondering
English - 31
Math - 26
Reading - 28
Science - 26
Writing - 10
I took the SAT once (school sponsored) and got a 1270, 620 math and 650 Reading/Writing.

My question is if it's worth taking it more? My scores are just fine for all the colleges I'm applying to, but obviously USMA has some pretty high averages, and to my knowledge my superscore is at or a little lower than the average. I don't have much free time to keep taking these tests as I'm very involved in EC's, but I'm scared these scores will hold me down.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The averages for the Class of 21 is English(29), Math (28), Reading (30), and science (27).

Yes, unless you are a recruited athlete, I would suggest you take them again. Your ACT is better than your SAT, so you might concentrate on that if you can only do one. Your academics count for more than any other component of your WCS. I was amazed at how much my DS 's score improved after a month of doing ACT prep for 30 min a night. He just used a $13 prep book off of Amazon.

Keep taking the ACT and/or SAT as many times as you can - your scores are not at the average. The average consists of scores of those appointees that receive special consideration with lower test scores such as recruited athletes, enlisted soldiers, and minorities.

The only cost to you is a few dollars and a handful of hours of your time to affect the next 50+ years of your life.

It is not unusual to achieve an outlier score on one or more of the sections after taking the exam several times.

I am taking the ACT for the third time next month. My previous scores are reasonable, but I am lacking in the English section. Hopefully, more practice will improve my score significantly. Wish me luck.

Take the tests as often as you can. Your current scores are unlikely to get you an appointment, unless you are in a very uncompetitive district, and get lucky with your competition, or a recruited athlete.

Mathis the biggest and most important score, followed by English. Work on those most.

A 28 composite will serve you well and the 31 in English puts you in a good position, but it can never hurt you to retake. Work specifically on math and strive to specifically get that 26 up to at least a 28. I know you can do it!
