DS submitted both ACT and SAT scores. ACT scores were fine but his Reading was lower than he would have liked. He took the new SAT and scored really well. How does USMA look at both sets of scores? I think he submitted the ACT scores as part of his SLE application. Appreciate the insights on this.

West Point uses, for the academic evaluation, the standardized test that the candidate did the best on.
If your DS did better on the SAT, then those scores will be used for his evaluation.

It won't hurt to have lower scores from other tests on file. They only look at the scores which are the best, and ignore the rest. Keep taking the tests, and working on bumping any and all subscores.

I learned West Point does not combine highest scores from the old and new version of SAT, which is a bummer because some of my scores from some sections are better on the old test version. This class is at a disadvantage because of this, which explains why most have opted to take the ACT
