Will a 33 Math compensate for a 26 English? I understand that a lot more goes into an application but I was just wondering if this is a reasonable ACT score for someone to be accepted.

Thanks!

Yeah but there's also the SAT that can be used as a buffer. They're gonna put the most emphasis by far on Math tho. Also it couldn't hurt to take it again if you've still got time. The academies do superscore, which is nice.

Just a comparison:
These were mine. I was appointed to usmma
Act 29 comp (34 math 30 eng 27 reading and 25 science)

Sat 1980 (750 math 580 crit reading)

Ok thanks for the reply. Also I have taken the SAT and did not do half as good as I did on the ACT. I guess I'll just keep retaking the ACT and I won't send in my below average SAT scores. Or should I send them in anyways?

It couldn't hurt. But it's a lil bit of money. Like I said, they superscore. This means you could take the act 3 times. The first time you get a 30 on math next time 30 on eng and next time 30 on reading. Regardless of how poorly you did on the other areas during those tests they will only consider the 30's, which is good
