ACT vs NAPS

So I had a low ACT score which the USNA track coach said was keeping me from getting academically qualified for an LOA. However now I have surpassed the standard she recommended and it hasn’t gone into the portal and it’s been almost two weeks since the scores came out. I know I’m being impatient, but the clock is ticking and I’m wondering if USNA would send me to NAPS or reject me before getting to see my new scores. They would no longer give me an LOA at this point, by the way, because every part of my app is done including nomination- it would just be a straight appointment. And, if they were to send me to NAPS and then receive the scores after(they’re significantly higher), is it possible they would change their minds and send me straight to USNA? This is all hypothetical and before anyone comments on it, I do have my plan b and c lined up.

A 25 on math. I started with a 22 and got a 26 recently (not updated in portal). I would retake, but the next test is too late....26 is the lower-end average of test scores at USNA according to last year’s class stats, so I’m assuming it’s sufficient? My English was not much of a problem to the coach because I got a 32.

I think your scores are qualifying but not super competitive, so it may come down to how much they want you as an athlete. I bet they'll be there on time but if not as long as you've taken it by the deadline they should still accept them.

Thank you! And yes testing has proven to be my definite downfall..

Have you communicated this with the coach? They may also be waiting for your scores to hit your file to present/support your application. NAPS and Foundation are also options. Are you interested in either or both of those options?

I know it feels like time is running out, but really there are months left in the shuffle. The holidays give you extra time to think about the "what ifs".
