ACT with writing

I know West Point requires the ACT with writing, but what if I’ve already taken it and want to keep the same writing score, so I could then sign up for a regular ACT (my school is providing one that has no writing). Will West Point still accept a regular ACT and combine my writing score from a previous ACT I’ve taken? or do I need to always take a writing ACT? I guess this can apply for SAT too.

Thanks guys

Given that all the SAs (and the SMCs) superscore, West Point should accept a regular ACT and combine your writing score from a previous ACT. Check with another source just to be sure.

I hope this helped.

You only have to have one writing score and are not required to take it every time. I would recommend having at least a score of 8.

We recently looked at the admissions instructions again as DS took the Feb ACT. He is a candidate for 2022. I believe it states they only accept the ACT with writing.

My DS also hopeful class of 2022, just took an additional ACT in Feb. I wonder if they will know something before long?

ACT scores were emailed the end of last week.... My DS's portal for USMMA updated from denied to HOLD because his scores reached their criteria and they must've electronically received them the same day we did.
