Hi Everyone,

My DS is currently Under Waiver Review due to ADHD. Does anyone know how long we should expect this process to take? He was diagnosed prior to kindergarten, never took medication and had his IEP terminated when he was 12 (all things he included in his medical survey). His JROTC nomination is being sent in now and his last SOE should be submitted any day now....making this the last piece. I appreciate any info this group might have...thanks!

It all depends if/when USMA will initiate the waiver process. Could take a few weeks to a few months depending on how quick you are to provide documents

Thank you. His application portal notes "Requested Waiver" as of 9/11, which I assume means the waiver process has just started. I appreciate your comment, good to know that it *could* go quicker.

2. Have the DS...the applicant...not the parent...email me at lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4; and paste the posting to the email

My DD was notified that she was medically disqualified based on D171.00. She sometimes misses a period due to playing lacrosse and basketball year-round. She has never been medically treated for this and only self reported it to be completely transparent and honest. She immediately reached out to her point of contact from the DoDMERB notification on 8/25. She did get notified in her candidate portal on 9/14 that the USMA was reviewing her medical file for waiver consideration. Does she need to be proactive and reach out to anyone else or just wait for someone to contact her? Thank you for any help in this issue.
