Ok so I couldn’t find another thread about this... I got the NROTC scholarship to USC and got accepted there as well. They expect a $300 deposit on tuition so show that I am going there. Does the scholarship pay for this, or am I responsible for gathering the money for this deposit?

Check with the unit. Each college handles things differently. In the meantime, for such a meager sum, I would go ahead and pay it so you can sign up for rooms, courses etc. and expect to be reimbursed on the other end... unless the folks at the unit tell you differently.

Why risk not getting in because there is an argument over who was responsible for the deposit. Pay it to make sure you have your spot and if Rotc winds up paying it later, i would imagine you get your money back. My son didnt get a scholarship but the all the monies go into a pot, so after they figure out your tuition, they apply all of the money they have received from all sources and refund excess.

You need to pay the deposit. I am not sure how/if you will be reimbursed for it, however, at my DD's school (different than yours) she received a refund check from the school for her deposit amount the following January.

My DD received AROTC scholarship at USC and also got accepted there. We already paid the deposit. However, she is still debating between USC and USMA.

At my son’s school, if there’s a credit coming, you still have to pay and then they’ll refund it once that credit comes (i.e a navy payment or financial aid)
