Admissions Notifications?

Does anyone have any idea when the application status might change to conditional or hold or LOAs may be sent out. Looking through the threads from past years it seems that people were talking about LOA's and conditional acceptances by early or mid October. Does the admissions commitee meet at set times? Anyone else who has already submitted an application for the Class of 2017?

As a point of reference, I was conditional pending a dodmerb wavier on December 7th.
 
Submitted in September and still waiting. I was told I would be reviewed later in October but my status hasn't changed. Perhaps they didn't meet as planned? Has anyone heard in last 30 days?
 
I've been checking everyday and still reads "application on file" - Does not even say hold yet. It seems they are several weeks behind last year's schedule as the 2011 "conditionals" started in early October. I guess we will all just keep waiting.

Maybe they are later this year because of Superstorm Sandy. Hang in there

yes, 2 years ago it WAS Nov when Lynpar's DS and mine found out (DS's are from the same state)...
unfortunately last year the kids from our state didn't find out until late Jan/ Feb.

I think it varies from state to state, and from year to year (and honestly, I'm not sure why that is so).

Appointment received!

My DS received an appointment today to the class of 2017. Waiting on nomination!

Congratulations to your son. How were you informed? Letter in mail or did you happen to check website?
 
Still Waiting

DS's portal still shows "Application on File" as well. Waiting to hear on a nomination to USMMA as well. He interviewed a few weeks ago, so it should be any time now. Just trying not to stress while waiting patiently and praying daily...:angel:

This means you will join the ranks of the "Mailbox Stalkers Club". There are hundreds of posts regarding this special club. One in particular that is "tears run down your leg" hilarious. :yllol: Go ahead and search for them. It will give you something to do while you wait.
 
DS's application status on portal changed to Conditional today. Looks like LOA forthcoming. Good luck to all. Love this site and everyone who contributes to it. We have learned so much and have benefited so very much from everyone's knowledge and encouragement.
 
Just checked online. They just put my decision up online. So I guess today is when a lot of people will be finding out.

Sorry I didn't want to put my status with out telling parents first. I got denied admission. Not really all the bothered about it because it is not going to stop me from doing what I want to do in life. So just going to move on and go to plan B.

Want to thank everyone for answering questions I have put up in the past and support given to me!
 
Whiplasher, good luck kid! With an attitude like that I am sure you will be a success in what ever open door you walk through.

Whiplasher, thanks for sharing and best of luck. Better to find out now so you can emotionally move on, rather than waiting till May. What is your plan B, if you dont mind me asking? Another maritime academy? DS just applied to Texas A&M.

Great attitude kid! When one door closes, open a window and jump out! Seriously though,....life is full of challenges! Keep your positive attitude and you will be fine! Good luck!:thumb:
