I was wondering if anybody had advice about The Citadel? I have already been accepted and they are recruiting me for track. So I was wondering if it is worth verbally committing?

Jay: I don't really know what advice you are looking for? Are you asking: should you attend the Citadel? O,r should you commit before hearing from other schools?
I'm sure that there are a lot of opinions on whether you should go. They all really ought to begin with :what do you want to do and what are you looking for? The Citadel is a school that will really challenge you physically, athletically, mentally and academically, and you will have a lot of challenges that your civilan college peers won't have. You also will - If you want to be there- have a really strong feeling of camraderie and accomplishment both while you are there and even more so when you graduate. Conversely, if you really don't know if you want to be there or have never really thought hard about it- then I would delay committing until you are sure. A track scholarship sounds good- but if you really don't want to be there - it can really be a painful 4 years. So you need to think hard and understand what you are looking for and then decide to commit. Congratulations on getting accepted and getting recruited for track. Good luck in making your decision.

I'm just trying to look for advice on going to The Citadel. I want to know more about it. I already did my pre-knob visit but I feel like I'm missing something about the school. I would love to hear peoples expierences at The Citadel.

If you are looking for information regarding what you can expect, you may want to contact the track coach and have him put you in contact with a member of the team. A track team member would probably be in the best position to advise you.
