Advice on improving my application?

So I'm a sophomore in high school and I just recently became interested in the USCGA as an option. No matter what, I think I'm going to join some branch of the military but I would really like to go to the academy. Academically, I'm fine and I can easily up my SAT score some more by studying. My problem is that I was never very active in extra-curricular activities and I know how important that is on the application. I would join varsity sports but my school doesn't currently offer any, and its a little late to do anything substantial with Girl Scouts. And I know how very slim the chances are of my acceptance, but I want to make it and so any advice at all on this process would be greatly appreciated, particularly what sort of volunteering or such I could do that would look good

Volunteering, getting a job, earning certifications, starting or being president of a club, Girl's State, etc are all things admissions look for. There are more specifics on the USCGA website.

Do things that you want to do, not to check a box. Also, you don't know how slim your chances are because you could be what they are looking for.

Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can
