The email said Academy Experience Program. It's an overnight. I think you get matched up with a cadet.

AEP is for applicants they have received appointment offers. It is an overnight program where you will shadow a cadet hopefully to get a better understanding of life as a cadet. It is designed so that you can make an informed decision on whether to accept your appointment.

1115: Cadet Support Services

1215-1315 (Parents): Lunch in O'Club with staff ($10 cash only per person)
1315 (Parents): Optional cadet-led tour of CGA
FRIDAY
0800: Coffee social for students & parents (Alumni Center)
0830: Major Presentations/Tours
1015: Q&A with Operations
1030: Cadet Panel
1200: Event Conclusion

My DS received his appointment as well but since I am unable to take time away from work he will need to travel alone. Do you know if transportation is available from Hartford airport? And just to make sure- the students spend the night in the dorms with cadets they are paired with? Thanks for any info.
I will be heading up Wednesday with DS ... I can help get him there and back to airport if he's going to March 30th aep

There are no transportation arrangements to/from the airports, and yes, he will spend the night in Chase Hall with a cadet. Best option is to connect with other parents making the trip in hopes of securing a ride.
When was your son looking to attend?
He could do any of them except the March 16-17. I see rtp9799 said they are going March 30. Which airport would you be flying into? What week is Tmamon thinking of doing? Thank you both for offering to help!! I so greatly appreciate your assistance so very much.
I am driving up from NJ... if he flys into Hartford or even newark nj I can pick up Wednesday... he can bunk with DS and I Wednesday night and we head to campus Thursday morning.

Thank you so very much. I will research flights and get back with you about doing March 30 AEP. Wow! Thanks so much for helping us out. My DS is over the moon excited about this life changing appointment! They've earned it!!
We signed up for February. If he wanted to fly into Newark the night before he is more than welcome to stay here. We are also driving up from northern NJ. It's a little over 2 hours from here. We will be staying in new London overnight and can bring him back to the airport either Friday night or Saturday morning. Happy to help. We are all one big family now.
My daughter will be attending AEP on March 30. Flying into BOS on Wednesday late afternoon and out of BDL Friday afternoon proved to be so much cheaper that it justifies an extra hour drive, so if anyone needs transpo from BOS or even PVD (which is more or less on the way), I can do that. Also can accommodate a female in our Springhill Suites room on Wednesday night. One question, does my daughter need to pack a sleeping bag and towel as she did for AIM?
