Does the USAFA administer the AFOQT to all cadets? If so, at what point in their studies?
Yes - they will have at least a couple of opportunities with the first being the spring of their 4C year.
Aside from, perhaps, an extremely low score, do AFOQT scores for cadets have any real consequence for pilot slot assignments?
I cannot say for sure if it does now or not, but in the past it did not affect pilot slot chances. The AFOQT was given to all USAFA cadets to use as additional data points to look at the reliability of the testing in predicting future success in UPT and after. My son (Class of 2011) still gets an annual survey of where he is at in his flying career, dates of upgrades, etc. which is part of that research. They track cadets with low, average, and high scores to see whether the scores correlate to better pilots.
