I think I would advise her to do so. Don't know how well she studied for that part in the first place but hopefully, she can bring it up although as you said, it could go down. I assuming you mentioned the flight hours so you know about the PCSM score. That is the Pilot score plus the TBAS test that is then supersized by the flight hours. The higher the PCSM the better the chances of getting a spot. In a way, it depends on how well she does on the TBAS test. If she does great on the TBAS test, then maybe she doesn't need to redo the AFOQT. If she does bad to okay on the TBAS, then she will definitely have to re-take the AFOQT. THE average PCSM score of people go have received pilot spots is around the high 60s to low 70s. I read that the highest PCSM score without flight hours is around the low 70s but you need a high Pilot score to go with that. That also means you had to kick butt on the TBAS test. There are plenty of people who got PCSM in the high 90s. My son had a 95 on the AFOQT with a 70 PCSM. With 201 hours, he got a PCSM score of 98 with 99 being the highest. Its competitive, so the higher the better.
