Recently I asked the forum to give me my chances for an ROTC scholarship. Though I got a lot of good responses, my scores have changed and I would like to know your updated opinion. I have already submitted my application and only need to submit the forms. I will probably do AFROTC even if I don't get a scholarship, but it would be nice to know if I have a chance at the scholarship.

Major: Political Science

Grades: Every year my grades have been mostly straight A's with 2 AP classes junior year.

GPA: is 3.83 unweighted and 4.17 weighted on a 4.0 scale.

Class Rank: 16 of 277.

Extra Curriculars: Baseball (no letters); Mentor to Middle Schoolers; National Honors Society [Vice President]; Honor Flight Guardian (Helping War Veterans); Mentor to 2nd graders; and Youth at the Booth.

ACT score: 32 Best sitting.

SAT score: 1310 Best sitting.

I am taking my PFT Wednesday but I expect my scores to be low, especially in the run. Physically, I easily fall within the height/weight limits. Will low PFT scores cost me a chance at the scholarship? Miami University in Ohio is my top school followed by Ohio State and South Carolina. I know you can't tell me if I will get one, but please just do your best. Thanks for chancing me!

First, AFROTC is national and does not care about your college choices when it comes to awarding scholarships.
~ I.E det 100 cab have 0% and det 200 can have 100%

I did not see your major. Tech or non-tech.

Is 32 superscore or best sitting?

Those answers matter because a 32 best sitting and certain tech major may be a type 1, whereas 32 superscore (best sitting 29) non-tech might be type 7.

You have a very strong chance for a scholarship, but you are going non-tech, and have stated you expect a low PFA, which I think will hurt your chances for a 1 or 2.
5% are awarded Type 1. 5% of that number is awarded to non-tech. IOW maybe 3.
15% are awarded Type 2. 85% are tech.
80% are awarded Type 7. The bulk of non-tech come from here,

Overall, @ 18% of candidates receive a scholarship

Also the 1st AFROTC board meets in Dec., however it is a queue, I am not sure if you will be boarded in Dec., even if you submit before the cut off date.
