I was awarded an AFROTC Scholarship on January 30th and I have read that I only have 30 days to accept it which makes it until March 1st.

If I am awarded another scholarship later on for NROTC or appointed to a service academy, can I withdraw my acceptance?

Do not understand how you were told to accept within 30 days. They all need to be accepted by May 31st. This way, you'll know which college you choose. My daughter's scholarship award says May 31st.

It could be that they received an ICSP. If that is the case than it is different than the HSSP.

My daughter's says the same thing. I don't know where this 30 day time frame comes from. The acceptance requires a copy of the Latter of Admission from the applicant's selected school - most students don't have this yet, so a 30 day acceptance period isn't logical. (I'm just referring to AFROTC offers to high school seniors, which I'm assuming the poster is).

So weird! My daughter's HSSP letter says nothing of the sort, but she received her award letter back in November. I would call to clarify:)
