AFROTC- AFSC's released soon?

13S = Space Operations
13N = Missiles
Obviously. But I wanted to know the big difference between the two, mainly what Space ops actually does. Arent the two related or used to be related? Why is Space Ops so popular whereas missiles is not. And missilers wear flight suits, do space ops do the same?

In a nutshell:
Missiles - the people who sit in the capsules waiting on the presidents say so to launch. They go thru endless day to day checklists. They are on call 24/7. Why they have flight suits don't know but a friend of mines says its way more comfortable when they are down there.

Space: They are more of your "space" people. Radars (ground and air) satellites and that type of stuff. And yes the two used to be joint but they split not too long ago.

Hope this helps somewhat.

For everybody that got 14N we have a Facebook page up just let me know and me or someone else can add you.
