AFROTC application rejected reason "checklist"

My DS was looking into AFROTC scholarships as a second option (USCGA is first choice), and initiated an account and application online. IT said the status was being reviewed for 5 days, and then today it said his status is rejected with the reason being "checklist". I cannot find anything to explain what that might be related to or mean. Can anyone clarify what that might be about? I can't think of any reason he would be rejected from even applying. He has nothing unusual at all in his history or information. Regular Montana kid with good grades and never any behavior incidences ever. Thanks.
 
I don't think so, but we can't find any way to get back to it to see where he was up to either. He had just filled in some basic stuff as I recall and then it said to wait for approval to do the full application. He'd really just done basic identifying info I think?
 
Have your son contact his scholarship technician. His technician's contact info should have been emailed to him and should also be listed in his Wings account.

A quick email should clear things up. He's probably missing something.

Also have him check his junk mail folder.

He never got an email with a technician's contact info. How could we find that? Nothing in his spam either. I looked all over the website and just can't find the right contact or info.
 
I'm very sorry you are going through this. There is an AFROTC admissions officer who is active on these boards, but I've only seen them respond to their own thread (I think). They posted below inviting questions and they've been pretty timely with responses. The thread is just a few lower called "Air Force ROTC Scholarships / Admissions - AMA"

Once sorted out, would you please share what happened. Was it a user related issue or a system related issue. This may be helpful to some of us when it’s time for our DD or DS.

Yes, if I get it figured out. Resorted to emailing a different contact and hoping they'll connect me with someone who can help.

Aftotc admissions poster addressed you on their thread where you inquired. He/she inquired if your son is 17yrs old. They are addressing your question.
