AFROTC Board Results

That's what DS's portal said until yesterday except he met the timeline for the December board.

The consensus here on the forum seemed to be that only December board results were released.

I was on the December board and received a 4 year type 7 scholarship for aerospace engineering.
 
I was one of the ones who didn't make it to the first board in time, and my app still states the same "board will meet during January, results released mid-February" message. So I guess these must only be the 1st board's results?

The eligibility email I got for the interview stated that the releases for the second board were scheduled(pre-delay) to be on the 14th of February. I sure hope they come out soon.
 
New to the board and I feel the anxiety all the applicants are experiencing. hang in there. My son met the December board and did not get selected. His portal stated the next board is in March and will get results in 2-3 weeks.

I've sent an email to the hq contact to get clarification if there will be a February and March board or just a March board. Initially they had given us dates for 4 boards, 1/month beginning in Dec. I'll update after they reply.

Best of luck to those still meeting boards, and congrats to selectees!! ROTC is a great program, get involved and you will get the most out of it. If not selected, there are still opportunities to compete for scholarships once in college.
 
Heard back from HQ AFROTC/RRUC. There are two boards left :17-21 March and 31 March-4 April. Best of luck to all!
 
One more addition just had confirmation on -- released results were just from December board.
 
Okay the middle of February has come and gone......:mad:

Time for some results....

I haven't felt this uptight :jump1: since I was about 5 yrs old waiting for Christmas morning.:sofa: I wish the portal would have an updated message with an accurate release date.:rolleyes: If the date listed was in the future, I could relax. :shake:
 
Received the following reply from USAF Recruiting today in response to an email I sent:

Air Force ROTC scholarship board results will not be released as scheduled due to the ongoing national budget debate.

The UPDATED Release Dates are as follows:

Scholarship Board Release Dates
Board #2 - should be by end of this week ( 7 March )
Board #3 - no later than 31 March.
Re-board Board - no later than 14 Apr.

I am still waiting for the mail to arrive. Have you received yours? The portal only says I received the award and wait for the mail.

I believe they got their results from the Dec. Board release. Portals can change a day or two after the release. They tend to do them in bulk. Think AFA mass mailing.

If my memory serves me, it is typically Thursday/Friday in the a.m. EST @10-11 that the forum will light up with results. I don't recall any portals updating on a Sat.,but I could be wrong.

What I am curious about is the re-boarded board. What is that? Are they now going to throw the money of the recipients that accepted an appointment or another ROTC scholarship back in the pot? If they do, than I wonder how much money will be available next year for ICSP? My guess would be it will be a repeat to a few years ago when they did not even hold an ICSP board because all of the money for that class year was already allotted before they even showed up as a 100.

Thats my guess, a last chance board to make sure they didn't miss someone. Once you say no and a kid moves on, it may be hard to get them back if they have already committed to a different course.

Sometime Third week of Feb. I also got the email from North Carolina today asking me to submit the form before April4 on how the award will be given.
 
According to the AFROTC person I spoke with today results from previous board will be out tomorrow. Check your email and status. Fingers are crossed for everyone! Good Luck!
