AFROTC December ICSP Scholarship Dates/Timeline?

Hello All,


I was nominated for a scholarship this last Friday, Dec 1. I believe that was the deadline for nominations. This is my first semester being nominated, I am a AS250.

Does anyone have an idea on what kind of timeline I can expect? I am just trying to become familiar with processes.

You should be finding out anytime now. Once all the dets send in the nominations it’s just put in a computer program that ranks everyone and draws a line. Everyone above the line gets a scholarship. Given that, the turn around is very quick. People in our det were notified Monday/Tuesday (4th/5th Dec.)

Oh wow, much quicker than I would have thought.

Were your nominations for your Det. sent in prior to the deadline of Dec. 1st?

I know our commander waited until the 1st, so he could nominate as many as he could to give enough time for some of the cadets DoDMERB results to come in.

Also, will the status be updated within WINGS? Or will I find out from Cadre?
Still trying to familiarize myself with these processes.

I’m not sure, I ended not being in this board so I didn’t track the details. I do know my roommate was having DoDMERB issues and he was in the board. The deadline was delayed a month to account for the DoDMERB issues so I would assume our Det waited.

Also, one more question, do they let all cadets know of the result (yes/no) regardless of answer? Or do they only notify yes's?

That is definitely per the det. Our det does. But for example when i was navy last year i was not notified by the unit of my non-selection...det cadre should be able to answer that for you.
