AFROTC EA due date

Enie meanie mine mo -
How many days to EA’s no one knows.
I wish they’d announce them, don’t want to wait.
Looking for a reason to celebrate!

Heard today that we will likely hear this Thursday. Do NOT quote me on that! Being this is the military and they can push back dates for weeks if they want to, I feel there's a 60% chance we'll hear Thursday. In other words, I feel optimistic about Thursday, but wouldn't be surprised if they delayed it again.

One sign going into LLAB is if there is a conspicuous amount of 200s missing that day as cadets who did not get EAs will probably be told not to come to class that day...

Oh.. That would be nice if they came out Thursday. But I just talked to my commander and he said he just heard that they haven't even come out with the number of slots they're going to give yet. Well I guess we'll know as soon as they do.

We have LLAB on Wednesdays...and no ROTC events on Thursday haha so guess I'll be hanging around the Detachment hoping for news :p (and possibly studying...)

Well it is early enough that some cadre have confidence that HQ will get their stuff together soon, others are more cynical (and they have good reason to be). I also heard that names hadn't dropped yet, but that they would drop at the end of the day today which I thought was WAYYYY too good to be true, so I discounted that one immediately. Really we wont know who was more right, the ones who said we would hear soon or the ones who say we'll hear in 3 weeks, until after the fact.

Btw, do you guys meet Monday Wednesday or Wednesday Friday?
 
We have PT Monday Wednesday Friday, AS 200 Tuesday, and LLAB for 2 hrs Wednesday. So is your LLAB broken up into two 1 hr sessions?

At our detachment we meet on Fridays. So you guys that meet earlier will probably know sooner. Lucky! :cool:
 
We have our LLAB Thursdays. Between the early scheduled Physical Training, military classes, and LLAB I never get to catch up on sleep lol.

Yes, two 1 hour sessions Tues & Thurs, the AS class is one of those depending on which class you're in.

Haha but here's the catch: We are on our spring break right now so we don't have any ROTC related events going on at all this week. It is a bummer indeed haha. So whenever you find out please us know!! Haha :smile:
 
If they came out last year on April 11...then that would make it a Thursday....

Tomorrow is a Thursday !!! :shake:
 
Just spoke to my son (briefly - he's got a Linear Algebra (Lord, the thought of that stuff makes me SHUDDER!!! :yllol:) As bad as "Differential Equations" - I only got through Cal) test tomorrow) They were told the board DID meet Saturday and Sunday - So... possibly tomorrow...

So the sub-50% number dropped by a POC at my detachment today might have some weight to it :| if the board meeting this weekend was the case.

i would take that with a grain of salt as the POC cadets said that about last years slots too and we know what happened with them.

I think I need to take a break from this page as every time I read the posts the number gets lower lol :thumbdown: I just want to know!!
 
It kind of seems weird that the board met Saturday and Sunday if the cadets were already racked and stacked and were just waiting for a number to draw the line at (like what was reported earlier somewhere in this forum....)

Unless they needed to rework some of the racking and stacking due to critical manning and a reduction in the number of EA's.....
