I know that EAs this year are gonna be ridiculously limited. Last year, about 70% of my detachment got the EAs they were nominated for. The year before that, it was 13/13. The POC and cadre at my det continuously repeat the fact that it is going to be really competitive this year.

So I was just wondering to get some opinions about where I may stand with receiving an EA.

Current Major: Computer Science
GPA: I transferred this year. 3.04 last year at previous school and after this semester I could reach a 3.3-3.4 with a near perfect GPA.
AS100 PFAs were a 98.7 and a 99.4. I'm pretty certain I can get a 100 next time around.
AFOQT: Have not yet taken but am feeling really confident.
I plan on going rated for a pilot slot.
Rank: This is hard to judge.Last year we had 4 cadre. 1 Lt. Col, 1 Capt. and 2 1st Lts. This year we have a new Commander and just 1 returning cadre whom was promoted to a Capt. So the POC are really the only one's with the most knowledge. I believe that I am in the high 1/3 of the ranking.

Member of AAS. Frequently help organize community service events. Very involved with detachment.

From this information, what is your opinion on my chance of receiving an EA for Summer' 15?

-Best Regards

Nobody can tell you that answer because right now nobody knows the pool size or the applicants you are competing against. Plus that AFOQT score is going to be a nice chunk

Overall you look strong, just keep going forward and hoping to be in Maxwell this summer.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are you guys referring to when you say "EA?" I thought Field Training for a moment, but that would be FT.

It is field Training. EA is just another term.

EA = enrollment allocation

IMO you definitely stand a good chance. Try to get the AFOQT done and get a good score on that, then focus on impressing at the detachment to get that high commanders ranking.

Again, it will be another tough year I am sure but just give yourself the best chance on getting a slot. Going rated means that you are also committing to potentially getting a CSO, RPA or ABM slot too so keep that in mind.
