Hey everyone, currently an AFROTC 100 cadet. I'm just wondering what the average statistics are for an in college scholarship?

I currently had a 3.76 first semester in mechanical engineering, 3.75 after my January course (curse you Spanish!)
30 ACT
Max PFA score
Also was on the college's soccer team (NCAA)

So hopefully I'm somewhat close to the averages. I'm still going to go through the program whether or not I get on scholarship, but it would be nice to know my chances!

Thanks!

I'll give you the advice I think Pima would provide: Talk to your Detachment Commander. S/He will know what stats the most recent recipients of ICSPs have had in YOUR school.

Just my opinion: You seem to be a strong candidate on paper. However keep in mind that the Commander's recommendation can/will make or break your application. Get involved, and stay involved in your Detachment's activities.

Unfortunately it is impossible for any of us to currently asses the impact sequestration might have on your chances. As Pima might say: Some things just come down to timing.

Thanks!

One of the officers in my detachment told me that I was in the top 1/3rd of 'officer potential' in relation to the rest of my 100 class. I wasn't really aware that ICSP was based off of your university though. I appreciate the feedback nonetheless.

I don't believe ICSP is Detachment/university based. However your Detachment Commander will be aware of the latest guidelines/majors that the AF has indicated are needed. Combined with what stats the successful candidates from your school have had, should give you a fairly accurate idea of your chances.

I received one! Woo!

The Det commander said the statistics were as follows (Tech Majors):

~28 ACT
~3.4 GPA
~92 PFA
And obviously a pretty decent commander's ranking.
