I just got an email from the Assistant Administrator from the Colorado State University AFROTC. They want me to go there to have my interview before the 29th of December. It is about 6 hours away from where I live so is there any way I can get it changed to in my home town? My friend had an interview with a major in town. Can I call the major and just set it up with her or do I need to call ROTC HQ and get the ok? I really cant afford to drive 6 hours anytime soon.

Your best bet is to schedule the interview at the closest college to you that has an AFROTC program. It doesn't matter whether you are applying at this college. Is their an AFROTC Detachment at a college closer to you than 6 hours?

The closest college is CU and thats still 4 hours.
4 is better than 6.
BTW - is your friend that is interviewing with the local Major interviewing for AFROTC or another ROTC program? How did s/he find this Major?

And also could I just change it to BYU since that would be more convenient?
If BYU is "more" convenient and closer AND has an AFROTC detachment then it shouldn't be a problem to schedule your interview there.

He had an air force interview. Problem is he can't remember how he go it in town.

Email/call your AFROTC contact that sent you the letter...
But, research the AFROTC website and find the school closest to you that would be more convenient.

DS was scheduled for Texas A&M which was 2 hours away...could have changed to another location, but decided we could live with a two hour drive. 6 hours away is very far, so find out your choices before you call in for the change request.
