AFROTC Pilot slot

Reaper,

Let's go about this differently.

PCSM accounts for what %?

Are you saying that PFA, CGPA, SFT ranking, and CoC rec doesn't matter at all?

When DS went through all of that was placed into the equation, including TBAS. That created their PCSM score.

OBTW, didn't you say your AFOQT dropped 11 points because of flight hrs? Or is it my Polish pea brain that misread what you were saying?

Trying to get it. Why did it drop? AFOQT is a test. If flight hrs don't matter for the AFOQT, than why?

I am not trying to be antagonistic. I am trying to get how or why it dropped for the AFOQT.

The way the percentages are as of the last board are:

- PSCM (for pilot & RPA) = 40%
- Det/CC ranking = 20%
- PFA score = 15%
- Field Training Performance = 15%
- CGPA=10%

I understand where you're coming from, but I have absolutely no idea why my AFOQT score changed. I was wondering the same thing, but it had something to with the new scoring method.

This thread at the other forum I frequent had a discussion about it: http://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19634-pcsm-20-killed-my-score/

Not to divert the thread, but it appears that the AFOQT is being used to narrow down the number of cadets competing for EA's? So if this is correct, it seems like the AFOQT is another hurdle to go over even before EA competition even begins. Dont pass test and your disenrolled.

The AFOQT has always been like that. It's just that now it counts for Field Training selection. Before, you didn't need to take the test (BEFORE FT, but you would still have to pass the test to commission) but now you do.
