AFROTC - question about scholarships

Can anybody answer this question for us? Our son is a high school senior, planning for entering college in the Fall of 2018. When our son began his application for the AFROTC scholarship this summer, he had to list some colleges he was interested in, and he listed three. Since the application got sent in, though, there are more colleges he would like to consider. He will hear back about scholarships after the Nov. 6 board. If he gets awarded a scholarship, will he be stuck with choosing one of the colleges he listed, or can he use the scholarship at other colleges with AFROTC programs?

He can pick any college he wants. AFROTC scholarship is tied to major not college, that is my understanding

He can pick any college that offers AFROTC. He is not committed to the schools he submitted.
