So this article is saying that the air force is giving AFROTC scholarships for Missile duty, 10 of which have already been awarded. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about these and how these are given out in AFROTC or if it was something you need to request. I plan joining AFROTC as a 250 this upcoming semester and I was wondering if this is something I could potential be eligible for thanks!

This doesn't address your question specifically but it's a pretty good overview - My son is a scholarship recipient and it's a very competitive process so read up well and get started applying as soon as you can do so.

Good Luck!

Off topic, but I laughed at the special medal aspect, to me it is again handing out medals like candy.

Our DS got larried this weekend as an O1 and he already has two which to the old guys as I was alive in the AF.

Do they really believe morale increases with the amount of fruit salad on their uniform?

Back on topic as with any scholarship remember it is a recruitment tool, and don't take it just to pay for college or to get an edge for SFT. ADAF is 24/7/365 days a year. Take this summer to really investigate the life. 60 Minutes a few months back did a segment on the Missileers for the AF.

And yes that they discussed the cheating scandal.
