Hi everyone,

I've been doing a lot of research lately on AFROTC along with filling out the scholarship form. The question I am looking to have answered revolves around a tech major at one of my top schools that is not listed on the AFROTC tech major list for scholarships. The school I am interested in is WPI; they have a tech major there called Robotics Engineering that is basically a course combining mechanical and electrical engineering with computer science. On the AFROTC tech major list, all of these majors are listed, but not the Robotics major. WPI is one of few schools to introduce the specific robotics major so I am not surprised that it is not of the AF list. Basically, what I am wondering is if anyone knows if there is a chance or way of applying for a scholarship in that major, or shifting a scholarship for another major over to it, as it is still a tech major.
If anyone has recommendations for someone I should reach out to further my question please let me know.

Thank you

It would be no different than any other tech major. Yes, you can apply for that major. Yes, you can transfer to it provided you can still graduate in the time allotted and get permission to do. If you want definitive answers on this, and changing majors, then call the unit at WPI. They would know.
