My DS was blessed to have received a type 7 which he will be taking to Mississippi State. So far, he has already been in touch with the Det Commander, registered for their ROTC orientation (which he'll do during college orientation and registration).

As far as the portal, he's accepted the scholarship and has been approved by HQ after submitting his letter of acceptance. He's DODMERB qualified already (that was quick and easy surprisingly).
The portal did say something about paperwork in May, and there's nothing else to submit. Just wanting to cover our bases, are we missing anything to do? Does the AFROTC tell the scholarship office, or is that on my son? We're facing a PCS move soon so I want to have all our ducks in a row before things get crazy!

Log bag into the portal. On the application checklist, there are a few more items now such as "dependents", "medical", and "forms." The forms get turned in at the unit upon reporting when we read over them the other night. DD didn't have any portal updates, but we were looking.
I don't tknow about MS State, but I know for PSU, the Commander there said that their assistant works with the burser's office to make sure the scholarship shows up and gets paid.

Agree. The unit will let the bursar know about the scholarship. I expect the unit will reach out about additional paperwork, but checking the portal is always a good idea.

Awesome, thank you. Found the mentioned ", "medical", and "forms." GTG!
