You should also talk to both the admissions dept AND the CoC of the ROTC detachment.
If you are truly entering college as a sophomore (class of 2019) than you need the det. know that you will be a 250, not a 100. What that means to you is you would compete for Summer Field Training next year.
I am not taking anything away from your achievement of dual credits, but there was a key word that struck me...TRANSFERRING. Many kids these days have a ton of credits when they enter (dual or AP), but what they quickly learn is that colleges want you there for 4 years, not 3. They, especially private are a business.
~ Typically what they will do is offer a requisite class for fall semester sophomores only in the spring of their freshmen year. Usually they will say that the dual enrollment or AP does not match up, and you have to take their class for your major. Hence, you might have 30 credits, but not all of them will work towards your major. See above regarding if the college is considering you a "transfer" or a HS student with enough credits to be considered a sophomore.
My AFROTC DS not only did jump start, but a ton of APs. His college accepted all of them from a credit perspective, I think he had 33 in total before he started his freshmen year, but for his major they said you need this class, thus from an academic progression you will still graduate in 4 years. In the end he graduated with a duel major, a minor and a core degree because they said that for his intended major he needed 1 specific class as a freshmen, that class was only offered in the spring. As a non-tech major he graduated with 169 credits. Heck of a lot for a non-tech when you do the math (169 divided by 4 = 42 per yer or 21 per semester)
~ Same happened for my other 2 children. My 3 attended 3 different colleges, and it was all the same. Their credits counted for hours, but not necessarily for their major.
Just saying having 30+ credit dual enrollment hours as a HS student does not always = the same as 30 credits hours as the kid at the college.
I am just saying before you assume anything, ask the admissions dept. if they deem you a sophomore for your intended major and expect you to graduate May 2019. If so, than contact the AFROTC unit ASAP because you will need to go to SFT next summer.
