Checked the online results and read the following message. My heart stopped -

Your application met the board and you were not selected for a scholarship. However, based on your rank on the board, your application will be meeting the next board.

Had me pretty down untill I read this forum and found...

Majority of December's winners were type 1. Any truth to that?

Does everyone get this message? Or is this actually good? Does this mean the board thinks Im eligible for a type 2/7, or is this just a feel good message?

I just checked and had the exact same message. I have the same questions as you do.

Well, I just received an AFROTC scholarship and, although they do not state your Type in the application tracker online, given my low GPA and average SAT, I think it's safe to say that not all scholarships given in the December board were Type 1.

Stick in there, there's still plenty of time left:thumb:

I just received an AFROTC scholarship recently too. I have it set (hopefully) for Embry Riddle in Florida, but I have no idea what Tier it is. I would hope it would be Tier 1 since I want to major in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering. My family and I were skeptical about me getting an AFROTC scholarship, but lo and behold, it was there! Sad that I do not know what Tier it is though...sigh... oh well. I already have an NROTC scholarship so I am just waiting.

Hey Bitt what do you consider a low GPA and average SAT and congratulations! BTW, Don't answer if you feel uncomfortable, it's not my business, I'm just curious.

I have a 3.38 GPA and 1290 CR+M SAT. I'm not saying they're terrible, they're just not the 4.0's and 1400s you see so many of here
