I just had my interview for nrotc on Friday and the interviewer ended with saying "based on what I've seen, I would strongly recommend you" which Ill take but do not really know what he meant. My application is complete and now I am wondering what I should do next. I have not done my fitness assessment which is on my to do list to get done before the next board date but is there anything else that you guys would recommend to me or now is it just a waiting game? Any tips would be appreciated.

Get the fitness assessment done ASAP. Winter is coming with bad weather, colds, flu etc. Things go wrong. Sooner is better for the fitness assessment provided you're ready for it.

Other than that it's a waiting game, giving you time to work on backup plans. I would hope that attending a college with NROTC and enrolling as a midshipman without the scholarship is one of those options. There are opportunities to be awarded a scholarship while in the program if you are not awarded one in this round.

Good luck!

Start working out and get fit so you crush the physical test and show up to your unit physically prepared, finish any college applications that you haven’t done already, and finish off the school year strong!

Thank you for the advice. I ended up taking my AFA today in which i got a 67 on the crunches, 48 on pushups, and a 5:55 mile time. I think that it good but I wish I got to 50 for my push ups.
