After the Academy

Hello,

I have an LOA from the USNA. My appointment is solely dependent upon my nomination at this point. Accordingly, I am planning on attending. However, I have a question about life after the academy. You see, my girlfriend just HAS to have an answer …If her and I were to get married prior to my graduation from the academy, would we be able to live together? If this cannot be answered with a "yes" or "no," what would the chances be?

Actually, you're not allowed to get married (or father a child) while at the Academy. Either is grounds for separation. There's a section on it in the catalog.

Midshipmen must be unmarried and have no dependents. Some midshipmen do get engaged during their time here.

Marriage would have to wait until after graduation.
