AIM 2014

I really thought I'd know if I got into AIM by this day, hope I don't have to wait another week...

It's most likely that we'll all be notified on the same day, May 9th.

Does being from an underrepresented state factor into admissions?

I was just looking at a AIM brochure..."We strive to assemble a diverse AIM class with participates from all 50 states." I guess that your state might have the slightest factor, if it comes down to it. What state are you from? I'm from KY.

Congrats Soccerchic

You will be there the same time my DS is there for swab summer. You won't have much interaction with them other than maybe Wednesday night church services.

It's a big deal to get accepted, so congrats! One step closer to the Class of 2019 Application!

Best of luck to you!

Daughter got accepted and paid but when I go to Bears den to pick date there are no events to choose for AIM to pick dates???Help:eek:

I really hope every member on the forum who applied got in. That would be quite a spectacle.

Where I can select which session?? I've already accepted and paid.

*never mind! Just found it

Disappointed

I'm happy for everyone accepted to AIM. Unfortunately my DS wasn't. We tried to steel ourselves for the news but it's still pretty gloomy here now. I'm curious about the lottery aspect of the selection process and if there are two different versions of the rejection letter this year, one indicating a lottery and another which doesn't. Ours didn't mention the lottery. Anybody else here who received a message which did mention it?

Thanks.

Question and maybe I overlooked. Do you get a checklist of what you need to bring with you? e-mail or mail?

I did not get accepted. but they mention they would invite me to a future event at the academy in August. Were you offered that opportunity as well?

I was accepted and I'm going to session 2!

There is an offer for first shot at the Cadet for a Day program which will be posted in August but no mention of the word invite, or invitation. Do you have the same or different?
