Im a guy and i may be attending the AIM academy this summer, and i have questions about a few things.
1. What are the rooms like, do we have a roommate, and what do we bring for sleepwear.
2. What should i wear during the many activities we will be doing?
3. What are the showers like, how long are they, and do a lot of people bring something to wear in the shower or not?

I think, if I remember correctly.... You can go to the official website of USCGA AIM Program. You should find a link, with all the requirements for the AIM Program.

I am aware that the application period closes today (April 15th).... Good luck to you! I hope to get in as well!

I'll just answer the shower piece - they likely won't be long, and they're in communal showers. There are separating walls between the showers themselves, but the changing areas and such will be common. Please please PLEASE don't wear anything in the shower. The showers will be short, but getting clean is very important, as you'll be building up quite a sweat and grime some days in AIM, and it's really important that you fully clean your body.

This is very helpful advice, ill be sure to follow it

I recommend wearing flip flops or sandals, it's what I always do when I use a communal shower.
Well, yes, do this - I didn't even think to say that because it's almost second nature, but please do this too. I understood the question to be more about wearing a pair of underwear or bathing suit in the shower. There's always a few swabs and AIMsters who do (at least at the beginning). Great clarification.
