Just out of pure curiosity, how close is everyone that went to AIM this summer to their platoon now? Mine has a group chat where we still regularly talk mostly about Coast Guard stuff, but sometimes just to share accomplishments and such. It has been really helpful through the application process to have that support and I was wondering if everyone had that same experience

My daughter was week 3 Echo platoon and said there's a good bit of chat amongst them. I think it's really cool.

My 2025 DD is still in touch with some of them. As you say, it was good to have someone to compare notes with during the app process. Curiously, I think since the end of swab summer she's closer to the ones not at the academy than her classmates. We were discussing it over the weekend when she got a text from one that had DORed right at the beginning and was doing great outside CGA.

My DS was in session 3. He has been in contact with a couple from his platoon. He met one of them again while attending a USCGA event at Clearwater Air Station Florida.

Week 3 Echo Platoon was the honor platoon that week! My son is 2nd row from the top (looks like a half row) on the right, but to the left of the guy in the row below him. He is still waiting for a decision!

I'm guessing you have plenty of Mr. Feeley stories! lol

I love a good cadre story! Let's hear what you got! One of my cadre broke a desk chair when they were SAR'ing a fellow swab who left their lights on. Yelled something about someone hiding under a chair and tossed it into the air. When it came down it snapped clean in two!
