Hey everyone, do you think an Apple watch would be acceptable for AIM, or should I get a different one?

If you are able to do so, get a cheap no-frills watch with a light up face and a timer function at the very most. Durability is more important than anything else, as AIM is a high energy experience with a significant amount of physical activity. Furthermore, the AIM handbook highly encourages you not to bring any personal electronic devices with you outside of a cell phone, which will be collected and stored for you during the week. Since an Apple Watch has similar functionality to a smart phone, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was collected as well. You don’t have to go crazy with the one you do purchase, a very basic one from somewhere like Target or Amazon will do. I did a search on Amazon just now and I found one that will suit your needs for AIM for $15. Don’t worry about needing any kind of alarm, that’s what your cadre are for.
