The aim waitlist is done by lottery. If im remembering correctly from last year. It might have changed thoFrom what I heard, people said they're currently shuffling around the people from in person and virtual, so I think when they finish that, the waitlist will be notified if they got in. I think June 4th is probably when they'll release it, since they want as much time as possible to see who's the best fit and make sure nothing was left out of consideration in the application. Good Luck!!!
Last year my DS was chosen of the AIM & Genesis programs--unfortunately due to the pandemic, they were both remote which was a dud & it did nothing for his application this yearWe just heard that June 4th is going to be the final date for all waitlists--they are dragging this out as much as they can and it is torture for people who are still waiting without a closure--there goes another holiday weekend
Oh I didn't know that. If that, I don't know why they are taking so long. Will good luck to them!!!The aim waitlist is done by lottery. If im remembering correctly from last year. It might have changed tho
That really sucks, and they really judge you based on in person and online? I registered for the in person 2nd session, so hopefully it won't be the same for me, but hopefully your son was fine with his application!Last year my DS was chosen of the AIM & Genesis programs--unfortunately due to the pandemic, they were both remote which was a dud & it did nothing for his application this year
They say it does not make a difference but we think it does--the chances of standing out, making an impression when you are in person surely helps. He has been waitlisted to the academy this year and with each passing day our hopes are sinking. I think we would have been better if he had been rejected so we could have a closure and move on-sometimes the bitter pill is easier to swallowThat really sucks, and they really judge you based on in person and online? I don't know how they judged online AIM, but notes from the cadre for regular in-person AIM can definitely be used in your application if you decide to apply. That really sucks, and they really judge you based on in person and online?
