DS will be a senior nursing student this spring. He is at Airborne and is now inspired to attend Air Assault. Would it even be possible for him to attend Air Assault before he graduates? He will do NSTP and CLC next summer. Will this training be an option after commissioning?

It might be a lot to juggle with the 3 training slots but air assault is shorter than airborne so your sons command/HRA might pull it off. In terms of training after commissioning it depends on where you go and the if the command will support you. FT Sam, tripler, ft Campbell all have air assault courses and I have met a fair amount of nurses who have gone to them. Also look into the EFMB badge that's usually offered once a year and you can go as many times as you want until you earn it.
