I have a quick question about the extracurricular activities sheet that the application wants me to fill out. It asks for Sanctioned Varsity Sports, that doesn't mean just the sports that you were on Varsity for, right? It means any sport that you participated in that was deemed as a high school sport by the high school association, right? Sorry if this is sort of a dumb post.

Never mind, I found the answer to my own question. A sanctioned varsity sport is just a term that means any sport that belong to the high school federation of sports. So you could be on JV or even be a manager and still put that you participated in that varsity sport.

I would have thought it meant sanctioned sports where you played on the varsity team. But, I am not sure.

Be careful how you answer that question. When it asks to list Varsity Sports you will need to designate whether you were Varsity, JV, or as you said, a manager. A manager will not count toward athletics but will add to the EC's and some leadership.

If they are asking for Varsity sports they are looking for teams in which you were a Varsity member. There should be an option to list JV Participation.
