Pretty cool thing is happening. The Thunderbirds are here in our town this week, no scheduled show but they are flying daily and they just rattled my wine glasses as they passed over the house. We are close to a base and have all manner of drones and aircraft fly overhead daily, this is just an extra special dose of American air power and brilliant piloting.
Lucky me!!!

I love the Thunderbirds, they put on a fantastic show.
Indeed they do! I saw the Thunderbirds fly on two occasions almost thirty years apart. The first time was when the did their show on
at Waikiki when we stayed at the Hale Koa. The second time was at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. I was told that he air show at Elmendorf is the largest drawing event in the state of Alaska.

Believe me I wish they had a scheduled show here, but I will take the fly byes.

Having grown up at the back gate of Pensacola NAS, I got to see the Blue Angels all I cared to and more. You do get a little tired when they're like 500 feet over the house all day doing practice runs.

20 years in the Air Force, and I saw the Thunderchickens maybe a total of 3 times, but enjoyed them.

My favorite airshow regulars were the Red Devils (flying Pitts Specials), Fat Albert doing JATO takeoffs, and the Army Golden Knights parachute team.
