Has anyone recieved theyre airline tickets from the academy yet? If so how did you recieve them (mail, online, inside the BFE). I really need to know, my family is trying to book a flight with me but we are not aware of the date or time.
Thanks

My DS received his eticket info in the mail May 27th. He filled out his acceptance (which had the travel request) when he was at orientation April 20th. Since we are in NC, he flies out June 23rd at 7:00am!

I also received the eticket info around the middle of May. Leaving at 0730 on the 23rd. If you are concerned, I would say to have them call the admissions counselor.

Ticket

My son received his before orientation but the official word was that majority of tickets will be sent out the first week of June so anytime now for ones without tickets. My son flies out from Florida at 8:15 am on the 23rd.

so, if you are looking ahead, check for open flights in the morning, and wait for the final word.

OBXmom, what part of the Outer Banks are yall from? I live in Havelock, about 20 minutes away from the Atlantic Beach/ Ft Macon area.

I received my ticket a while back. I'll also be leaving June 23rd, sometime in the morning. Don't have the ticket near me right now.

Just thought I would mention-the air show at MCAS Cherry Point 2 weeks ago with the JROTC unit = mind blowing....

FinishTheDrill, we live in Kitty Hawk, NC. Home of first flight, how appropriate is that!
DS will be flying out of Norfolk at 7:00am and its a two hour drive to get there. I'm sure every second of the drive will be bittersweet.

The air show Cherry Point puts on is always impressive. I wasn't able to see it this year though. I was with our Student Council helping with a weekend camp across the Neuse River in Pamlico. I love the base. I've grown up with the sound of jets flying overhead since Pre-school.

I had sent my acceptance sometime in late April and apparently received my ticket on May 5th (I've had my mail on hold because I've been out of town on a charity cycling ride).
Quick question, it says that we must keep all receipts for travel costs that exceed $75. How exactly does this work? It would definitely be more convenient for me to call a taxi and get them to take me to the airport which would cost about $80 or so, will they reimburse that?

If they paid for an ticket they will not reimburse the travel cost to the airport, as far as I know.
