AKO "Pay Entry Base Date"

I am an Army ROTC cadet and I need to register for an AKO account. One of the first questions they ask is what my Pay Entry Base Date is. This would lead me to believe that for an ROTC cadet, that would be the date of contracting. I was wondering what other ROTC cadets have put for this or if my guess is correct. Thank you.
