I just got off the phone with Lt. Cambi (CG admission officer) and he said that they (CCEB) don't even start meeting to look at the packages until November 15th.

I think LTJG Cambi may have meant October 15th since we normally are finished with about half of the EA reviews by November 15th and we're completely finished by December 15th. Again, I would recommend having your Admissions Officer put a note in your record if you want to ensure an optional application item has arrived prior to the file being reviewed by the CCEB.

SAT and ACT

Will the CGA accept only ACTs or do you have to have both SAT and ACT. Or only SATs. I know the web page says both but reading the blogs it would seem as trhough everyone is taking the SATs. Do both tests carry the same weight?

Some people do both, but it's not necessary. You can turn in ACT, or SAT, or ACT and SAT. I think it's really just what your student does better on. The format for the tests are a little different. My son just happens to do better on the SAT. And yes, I believe they carry the same weight. -officer
