Sorry for the Austin Powers reference.
I'm going to blame it on the coffee!
Figured I'd officially say hello to y'all. I was pleased to find this website, what a wonderful resource and community you have here. Anyway, I am LE with a DS who is a junior in high school. He got the idea about attending USNA from one of his elementary school teachers with whom we've stayed in touch with, who had a nephew who went to NAVY. She always thought my son reminded her of him. Anyway, we visited last year, took the tour, sat in on an admissions briefing, and started tracking towards this goal. Among my son's attributes are varsity tennis and swimming, club swimming, National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, life guarding, tutoring, community service. SAT - 1430, ACT - taking it this weekend. We are waiting to hear about NASS, and he has been accepted to Boys State. What an exciting time to be a parent!
Thanks for letting me brag on him a bit.
