Already being considered for waiver review by academies?

Hi everyone. My DS just let me know that he got a letter posted in his Dodmerb applicant site that says "DoD medical standards" not met. This is for a single DQ that he has not had more issues with since he had treatment for it. However, under each academy area on this site he said that it showed "Under Waiver Review". Does this mean that because everything is in and he has nominations, he is being considered for waivers by the academies already? Or is that something that just shows up if the AMI was turned in and evaluated by DoDMerb? I'm confused by the information he said. Anyone who has been through this process and understands what these two things mean could you help clarify these two things? Makes me think the academies are still considering DS as competitive applicant if potential waiver, but... maybe this is just the status that goes in when a person is DQ'd. Thanks!

MOM/DAD: Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the process;" Read paragraph #4.

DS = Read the entire document...particularly paragraphs 4 and 21.

Note: "Under Waiver Review" = on the DoDMERB website means that the medical documentation has been posted to the Academy's medical waiver website for consideration. The medical team will NOT review until/unless Admissions deems the applicant is competitive for an offer of appointment.:wiggle:
