I broke my radius and my ulna in a bicycle accident in September of 2020. I have 2 plates and 12 screws in my arm and full mobility. I am unhindered by my injury now. Would this disqualify me from an academy appointment or AROTC? Thank you for any advice in advance.

To also add if relevant I have not gone to a checkup since like January because I lost my health insurance. But the last check up given I was cleared for weightlifting.

I can only tell you that simply having plates and screws in your body is not a DQ by itself. Having full unrestricted physical mobility verified in writing by your surgeon would be a benefit. DS has the metal hardware and he did just that. He had no problems clearing DODMERB.
Mr Mullen will give you a personal and authoritative answer for your specific case, and hopefully you will have no issues either.
