Received and accepted it in January of my senior year of HS, everyone’s different though so hang in there and don’t stress too much.

Best Company? …. 15th company holds the Color Guard Company designation … I think they call it that.

Anyway … whatever company holds the designation … it’s because they have the best combination of Academics, Athletics, & Military ranking.

DD is in the 15th company 💕

Last semester 23rd was color company, in terms of company culture it depends on who you ask. Each company is different based on the leadership, so they all have slightly different experiences.

We are at the football home games all the time, and this past fall semester of 2022 during the Brigade walk-on, the announcer called out the 15th company for the current holder of the color company designation … 15th was also called out at the Army-Navy walk-on.

Anyway … 23rd company is either this semesters color company, or maybe the color company from the spring semester of 2022.

My mistake, thought you were referring to who won it last semester. 15th did have the honors last semester as color company, but 23rd won it for the fall semester, so they have the design now. My apologies for the misunderstanding.
 
What’s the post spring break vibe on the Yard? Tulips and blooming trees of Spring, seems pretty positive.
 
My son received his offer on 11/1/2022. Curious when he can expect to receive information concerning his report day and time and what he needs to accomplish between here and there. Thank you!

I-Day will be on June 29th. He will receive his morning report time and platoon assignment in mid-June. The 2023 PTR packet will be available online in late April-May. But you can pull up last year’s on the USNA website and get started… current passport, vaccine list, TB blood draw, police record check requests, security check addresses, etc.
 
And print out copies of everything to bring with them, even if they are initially submitted online.

They end up doing easily half of it again during I-Day anyway. ;)
 
Also, for any parent or appointee, keep a copy (digital/hard copy) of the SF86 clearance form. Many times in your career you will have to update your clearance info, having to compile all those names, dates, and addresses again would be a pain.

DS sent me a picture of a gorgeous magnolia in bloom yesterday, the spring mood on the yard is indeed positive.
 
Not sure if it is the same for Mids, but when you fill out your clearance stuff in the regular civil servant world, it is on the computer now and when you go back to do it again 5 years later, the old one is still there. Made it much easier to update things.

But it is always a good policy to print out copies for yourself!

Interesting, I did mine in the civilian capacity two years ago (first time) and it was all paper. Digital would be much nicer!
