American Bald Eagle pecking at a deer carcass in a farm field close to our house 2 days ago …. It was Amazing to witness this …

Look at the brave lone vulture right next to him or her …. The American Bald Eagle is a “Big Bird”

I was probably about 70 feet from it in our little Accord grocery getter …. I sat there with car running for 5 minutes or more taking photos …. The Eagle wasn’t scarred …

Resolution is not great after expanding the photo (sorry)

Beautiful. I had never seen Bald Eagles in the wild prior to our family moving to the pacific north west - they are all over the place in this part of the country. I’m surprised that raven didn’t run the eagle off. The ravens run in packs and are pretty aggressive with the eagles Here.

This field is north of Leesburg Virginia between Lucketts and Lovettsville, which both are close to the non-tidal Upper Potomac (Point of Rocks).

They were making a come back for the past 40 years or so …

We fish regularly on the Upper Potomac … and their nests are easy to spot when our boat is drifting slowly down River.

Point of Rocks is one of the prettiest places in the world to me.

I used to see them when I was fishing in Quebec. One dive bombed our boat once. It was after one of the many walleye on the stringer we were trailing as we drifted.

Great photos @Dr. Strange Love -- what a cool experience. I love Bald Eagles anywhere, anytime.

Check out "Brian Shul Photography" on Facebook -- he's former SR-71 Pilot (and great public speaker you may have caught on YouTube). Brian is a professional photographer now and he has been posting insane Bald Eagle photos the last couple months. He must have a Black Program budget to afford the camera gear he uses.

I have a viewing area near my house. that runs form mid December through mid March. The Hydro Dam at the site keeps the water below the Dam open and they congregate every year. Their record is 29 at one time.

Oh my Goodness!!! … what locality … region/state?
.

Shepaug Dam Connecticut. We do have some areas where Natty Bumppo's spirit wanders. Coureur Des Bois.
